Does your business or your vendors/suppliers offer a service or provide products that senior residents might be interested in? The Stow Friends of the Council on Aging (SFCOA), is seeking advertisers for “The Stow Senior Scoop.” The Stow Senior Scoop is a monthly newsletter published by the Stow Council on Aging (COA) and funded by the SFCOA (a 501 (c) 3 non-profit entity that supports the COA).
The Stow Senior Scoop is often one of the first places our senior residents turn to when looking for services related to their needs. Further, staff encourage our residents to support our advertisers when looking for such services.
The Stow Senior Scoop is mailed to every household in Stow as a monthly insert in the Action Unlimited which includes our senior residents. Copies are also available at other local establishments in Stow (e.g. the Town Building and the Randall Library). Advertising in the Senior Scoop allows your ad to be read by all those recipients!
Becoming an advertiser is an easy and affordable way to reach the Stow senior audience. Don’t delay as space is limited! See our affordable rates and other details in the attached information sheet. Please consider placing your annual advertisement (July through June) now.

The dimensions and cost for a single block ad are 1 ¾” width by 2 ¼” height ($300, black and white; $360 color). For a multi-block ad, simply multiply the width by the number of ad blocks paid for (i.e. 2 block ad = 3 ½ W X 2 ¼ H). Cost is directly proportional to number of blocks (i.e. 2 block color ad is $720 per year)
Advertisers may scan their business card, or create a unique ad. Your camera-ready electronic copy of your ad should be emailed to COA@Stow-MA.gov. You will receive a final “proof” of the ad for approval before going to print.
Content of your ad can be changed during the year for seasonal promotions or to advertise a special for that month. Advertisers can also entice residents by offering a senior citizen discount if they mention the ad.
